I have heard several reports about the Boson test for the JNCIS, and only
one has been negative. Of the reports that I have read, most people that
take the JNCIS with no other Juniper experience have usually received a
60%-70% score, where 80% is necessary to pass. In my opionion this isn't
too bad, since the Boson test is not really meant to teach you everything on
the JNCIS test. The JNCIS test requires at least an intermediate level of
knowledge of routing protocols (ISIS, OSPF, BGP), as well as an intermediate
knowledge of network technologies (SONET, ATM, Multicast). The Boson JNCIS
test is not geared to teach these concepts, and assumes that knowledge
already exists. The Boson test is geared to help people focus on the types
of questions that will be asked (necessary concepts), not the exact
questions that will be asked.

If you are looking for a practice test to hold your hand through the
certification process, this test probably won't do that.

However, the JNCIS certification is not at the same level of expertise as,
say, the CCNA, or even the CCNP certifications. Although enough practice
exams can be taken to CERTIFY as a CCNA or CCNP with little or no hands-on
experience with Cisco routers, I don't know that this is possible (or
feasible) with the JNCIS test. I'm sure that if someone re-took the test
enough they could learn the answers to the questions well enough to pass.
However, many CCNP 'professionals' couldn't set up a Cisco based network if
they had to (speaking from past experience).

My point...the JNCIS is meant to certify people that are capable of using
JunOS and Juniper routers, and is meant to recognize that ability, not
simply to glorify a resume.

My 2 cents...
