Hi folks,
The IEEE 802.1Q VLAN standard allows up to 4096 VLANs (12 bit field = 4096
values). The Juniper gigabit Ethernet interface allows up to 1024 interfaces
per physical interface (GbE PIC in this case), and the Juniper chassis
allows up to 4095 IP interfaces, where each VLAN corresponds to a logical IP
interface.
So, you can only have 1024 per PIC, but if you have 4 PICs, you can use the
maximum number of VLANs in your chassis.
Regards
Ian

What I think is that VLAN standards ( the exact protocol standard is not in
my mind right nnow )allow only 1024 Vlans at a time,
but the (JUNOS) Juniper GE interfaces allow a theoritical range of 4094
whic is practically unusable..
so my anwser will be 1024.,
Check for CCNA books for exact satndard
