Subject: clarification needed [9:564]
Hello all,
I was wondering if someone could provide clarification on the following
quotes taken from the Juniper 4.4 Software Guide (Interfaces and
Chassis) on
VLAN configuration:
"Gigabit Ethernet interfaces can be partitioned; you can assign up to
4095
different logical interfaces, one for each VLAN, but you are limited to
a
maximum of 1024 VLANs on any single Gigabit Ethernet port. You can
configure
any VLAN ID in the range from 0 through 4094. ...."
So, when asked on JNCIS what is the maximum number of VLANs on a Gig-E,
is
my answer 4095 or 1024? I assume that it is 1024, but the text
contradicts
itself and I just want to make sure.
Thanks in advance,
bb
