Hello All, 

I am an SE Manager at Cisco looking for a pre-sales Systems Engineer in the
NY/NJ area. Pls read job description below and reply quickly. I am NOT a
recruiter, I am the Hiring Manager.

This position is for a pre-sales Account Systems Engineer with the
responsibilities of supporting a Global Financial Services account. The SE
should be focusing on providing high-level technical pre-sales support for
the customer and driving the technical sales strategies with the Global
Account Manager. The SE will be looking for ways to build his/her influence
inside and outside of Cisco; scalability of information sharing is a key
criteria.

Key Differentiators: 

- Applies business requirements to the development of technical
account/partner strategy and plan. Leader in communication between account
team members.
- Supports tactical opportunities (i.e. Product configurations,
documentation, Lunch-n-Learns, etc.) and adapts existing Cisco solutions
that address a specific customer/partner need.
- Positions the technical trends of the internetworking industry to peers
and customers/partners.
- Develops strong relationships with customer or channel partner middle
management, based on the role of a trusted technical advisor in area(s) of
specialization.

Business Planning and Execution: 

- Applies business requirements to the development of technical
account/partner strategy and plan. Leader in communication between account
team members.
- Supports tactical opportunities (i.e. Product configurations,
documentation, Lunch-n-Learns, etc.) and adapts existing Cisco solutions
that address a specific customer/partner need.
- Develop test plan that reflects customer environment and includes
competitive traps.
- Establish relationships with Cisco's Business Units, product lines, and
associated product managers in relation to the account/partner. Lead
discussions with Cisco corporate managers (product and marketing) or
Technical Marketing in validating the Cisco solution.
- Perform effective time management across short and long term pre-sales and
customer/partner support activities.

Business Excellence: 

- Positions the technical trends of the internetworking industry to peers
and customers/partners.
- Advanced level understanding of the market segment business and technical
requirements. Know the capabilities of the Channel Partners in their
technology specialization.

Customer Relations: 

- Develops strong relationships with customer middle management, based on
the role of a trusted technical advisor in area(s) of specialization.
- Effectively delivers to a technical audience, customized technology &
product presentations and whiteboard discussions addressing customer
applications. Conducts effective meetings with customer and partner.
- Influences and documents customer/partner requirements. 
- Train customer on the use of Cisco support resources. Articulate to the
customer/partner Cisco's CA service portfolio. Effectively position Cisco
Advanced Services as part of the sale. Work with customer/channel and Cisco
TAC to escalate technical issues as assigned.

Mentoring and Coaching: 

- Shares technical, professional, and sales skills and knowledge with
others.

Technical Excellence: 

- Performs & represents the network design activities with minimal
assistance, effectively engages extended team for support.
- Strong knowledge of/and fluency in articulating; features, functions,
benefits, and positioning of Cisco products, technologies, and services in
reference to industry. Ability to apply this knowledge to address
customer/partner network requirements.
- Lead discussions concerning direct comparisons of Cisco's products and
technologies against the competition specifically relating to design
strategies.
