Jeff,
I have gotten many different explanations on whether a clearance is active,
current, inactive, or whatever. Each recruiter/HR rep seems to say
something different. Some agencies want current (active) clearances, some
want clearances that were used within the past two years. I guess a
restriction depends on the hiring agency.
In the DC area a clearance doesn't help with out a good background or some
very needed skill. A company doesn't want to wait for a person to get
cleared. The ecomony hasn't turned yet. I feel sorry for the upcoming
college grads.
