Stick to my job or take the risk ? (H1-B thing involved) [3:937] posted 01/07/2001

I am working in the software industry but what I really would like to do is
networking.
I am working on my CCNP and after training and self-study it seems that I
have a possibility to get
a contractor position at a NOC through an employment agency.

The problem is that my currently employer is supposed to sponsor my
greencard, and this contractor position in networking is a total risk - no
greencard sponsorship.
Even more now after reading a post that says that few employers could
sponsor network engineer folks.

What alternatives do I have ? Stick to my unhappy job for several years ?

Thanks,

Billy
