I agree with Chuck, though placing your resume on those sites does grant you exposure, there is no method to that approach. Seeking the advice of a professional or doing some marketing of yourself to the employers you wish to work for is not a bad idea.

Although there are differing opinions, I come down on the side of Nick
Corcodilos ( Ask the Headhunter, www.asktheheadhunter.com ) that it is not
a good idea to just nail your resume onto telephone poles and hope for the
best. By doing so you have lost control of how you are presented to hiring
managers. Not to mention the potential conflict should a hiring manager get
your resume from both sources that are free and sources that work on
commission.
I know that in these days of hotjobs and monster.com and such that it is
tempting to just post wildly, with no thought. The idea is that the more
eyes that see, the better the chance for interviews. In the end, though, you
may just be contributing to the noise level that does much to prevent us
from finding the jobs of our dreams. May want to check out Nick's opinions
prior to doing things like this.
Just my opinion. Others disagree.
Chuck
