To fix now at ronmen1> prompt, type confreg 0x2102, then reset
To quick fix when in ios (ie, when it boots but does not auto-load your
config): "en", "copy start run." Then "conf t", "config 0x2102", end &
reload.
You left the config register set 0x2142,' which tells the router to on boot
to go into the ronmon

Hello,
I'm studying for my CCNA, practising on a 3600 series router, and came
across a problem.. I was copying the startup-configuration from a tftp
server. I rebooted after the update of both the IOS (from tftp to flash)
and Startup-Config, and the router ended up with this prompt:
ronmon1>
Or something very close to it.. Either the tftp transfer failed, or the
IOS became corrupted. The tftp is a stable Linux box I use at home as a
file server..
Do you have any idea what is happening?? And how I can get the router to
boot from tftp server, or start from setup mode again?? And what did I do
wrong?? Any ideas are appreciated.
Thanks in Advance,
Robert Woods
