If the money is acceptable(not too low to eat), and you think the
environment is ok for you, take the job!!! Otherwise, depending on your job
market, you may not get the chance to come in entry level without Cisco
specific hands on knowledge from what some of these more pessimistic authors
here are saying. Whether is it pertinent to you, or anyone else, my company
will not hire you for anything Cisco related unless you have verifiable
switch and router history at another company, the cert comes 2nd. For me, I
was a help desk manager with a CCNA, and I literally had to force my hand to
get into the Engineering team to help with a large network design. I think
I just got lucky though, and I have a big mouth. hehehehe. Am I out of
line?

You can get a CCNP without hands-on experience. I did. If your goal is to
get a CCNP, get a Cisco 804 and configure it to get to the Internet. That
should be sufficient IOS experience to get you through the four tests. It
was for me.
However, if your goal is to get a job working at or close to the core of the
Internet...
