Note that previous posts have said that they started out the same, to keep
going, etc. A business has to believe that you will earn them more revenue
than you will cost them. If you can't show that with experience, they can't
afford to put you in an expensive job. If you demonstrate it with aptitude,
with knowledge, with attitude, they may well be willing to take a chance on
training you. But bear in mind that you cost them _much_ more than you see
in the paycheck. Part of that cost is explicit, in the form of dollars
actually spent on taxes and benefits. Another part is implicit, in the lack
of speed that you will operate at compared to someone with experience. Go in
understanding the business problem you represent, and offer to be a bigger
asset than a liability and they may hire you.

Of course, they may not, too, in which case you move on. This is a
business-side view of what Pradeep is saying (hi, there--I'll reply off-line
when I catch up)--those companies are betting on the learning curve that
these people will travel. Often it's a good bet, sometimes it's not. Your
hardest job may be to convince them you're a good bet.
