Hi all,
I'm a new CCNA with a degree in Electronics. 10 years electronics
experience with 2 of those years working with LAN stuff too. I just came
back from the Sacramento Tech Job expo and it is as hard as I thought it
would be to land a job. I know about this because I had to put in my time as
an electronic technician before I was able to get any respect in the job
market. I am in the same position again as I enter the I.T. field. I realize
this and I am willing to pay my dues again.
I just wanted to let all newbies and newly certified CCNAs know about
this just in case you think the cert will get you the job. Unless of course
you are already in the field and just need the certificate for decor. I was
able to pass out a dozen resumes so at least it is a start. Throw enough
spaghetti on the wall and some will stick right? :) This is not to depress
you guys. This is to let you know that the CCNA is just one small step. Many
more to go and don't give up! I won't!
