CCIE(r) Central - UPDATE:
Recertification; CCIE Certification in Security Article

Effective November 1, 2004, Cisco certified professionals who pass a CCIE
written exam can use their passing scores to recertify their associate-,
specialist-, and professional-level certifications. This policy change is
designed to encourage the pursuit of lifelong learning. The requirement for
CCIE-level recertification remains unchanged: a passing score on one of the
ten available CCIE written exams within the 24-month period immediately
preceding the recertification deadline.
