Whenever you upgrade the PixOS, I would also recommend upgrading the PDM
(regardless of whether or not you use the PDM). If you (or someone else)
decide to try the PDM later on down the road, you do not want any unpleasant
surprises.
Though I do not use the PDM personally (especially for configuration
purposes), the latest version does have nice graphing capabilities that are
worth checking out.
To answer your question, you do not need to run the setup after installing
the PDM. Just make sure that you have the http server enabled and pointing
to the correct interface address. Then open your Web browser and go to that
address (from the network attached to that same interface).
The PDM will add some commands on first access, but unless you have a lot of
networks defined in your config, it should not add too many.
