Hi Jim,
   I was using the c2950-i6q412-mz.121-11.ea1.bin. It gave me connection
problems. I don't know about the 14.ea1a IOS. Also, I don't know about the
3550xl's. Can you try getting the 19.ea1a IOS from Cisco TAC?
