FW: Give me 2 cents with ciscoworks [7:80001] posted 12/02/2003

Ciscoworks Works! Make sure you understand all the pieces and put in all
the patches. Several large government installations use it and love it. DO
NOT GO CHEAP ON THE SERVER you use for Ciscoworks. The last one I saw was a
dual processor 2 gigahertz with 2GB of ram. A good network card is essential
as well.

On a down side if you don't like dealing with Java do not use it.

Its like any other network monitoring/management software if it is
configured poorly you will hate it. If it is configured correctly it will be
a very helpful tool to help manage and control your network.

If your company has not already purchased CiscoWorks, my suggestion
would be to avoid it.

Someone have a manual to manage and implement ciscoworks?

We have ciscoworks (LAN/WAN modules), but don't have training, I like
optimize and manage correctly this tool. Thanks in advance.
