I waited to get the new IBM T40 when work was getting low on the T2x series.
Little did I know it had no db9 serial. I got the Micro innovations usb to
db9 cable. It work's, but I've had some problems connecting to multiple
devices in a short period of time (going from ups to switch to router to
next closet, etc.). It stopped working for me at 11 pm right in the middle
of upgrading a warehouse from TR to Ether. Just my 2 cents.

Yep. It's a B**CH! But, you can pick one up at Radio Shack or,
sometimes, Circuit City or Best Buy carry them. Radio Shack is probably
your best bet. I got mine for about $15.00. They are not easy to find
and are not cheap! So, if you are able to find one, buy a couple of
extras just in case!

I just got a new laptop but it doesn't have a serial port on it. So I
can't
hook a db9 connector to it. is there an adapter that will allow me to
go
from usb to rs232? Has anyone else run into this problem?
