Suppose you perform an extended ping from host to host (host - router -
router -host).
Which type of pattern, all ones or an all zeros pattern, will have more
failed attempts in
a) practice/reality?
b) theory?
How will the answer depend on:
a) the interface type (eg serial, ethernet, fe, ge, tr, fddi)
b) line coding (ami, b8zs)
c) media type (copper, fiber)
d) for serial links, encapsulation type (lapb, fr, hdlc etc, etc)
e) how high in the sky is the sun at the moment of the test
TIA.
