static mroutes allowed? posted 05/22/2006

Hi Group,

Static routes are not permitted. What about static mroutes?

If your multicast traffic has to pass non multicast routers, this is usualy done by applying GRE tunnels. To make the router expect the traffic coming from the tunnel interface and pass the RPF check you have to use mroutes. AFAIK this is the only way. Are mroutes allowed on the exam? Or is there another way to accomplish this objective.

regards,

Koen
