telnet security: chargen port posted 08/13/2004

i'm doing a lab that states:

for security, disable the router feature which allows you to generate a stream
of ASCII characters via a telnet session to the chargen port on R6

any ideas on what this might be? i looked at an extended access-l under udp
and didn't see anything associated as such....i'm not even sure what a chargen
port is.

thanks in advance!
