OSPF - MTU Mismatch posted 11/15/2003
[Chronological Index] [Thread Index] [Top] [Date Prev][Date Next] [Thread Prev][Thread Next]

Hi Group,

Consider the following situation in OSPF area 0:

CAT_3550 (Interface Vlan1) ................(Ethernet0) R1

Interface Vlan1 - MTU Size: 1504 bytes
Interface E0 - MTU Size: 1500 bytes

In this situation there is an MTU mismatch between neighbors. To solve it, I can use the command
IP OSPF MTU-IGNORE in both interfaces. Otherwyse, the neighbor relationship will not form.

Am I correct ? There is another way to do the same thing ?

Regards,
