ISIS: redistribution between L2/L1 posted 02/01/2003
[Chronological Index] [Thread Index] [Top] [Date Prev][Date Next] [Thread Prev][Thread Next]

Hi all,

Topology

R1(L1/L2)-----R2(L2)-----R3(L1/L2)

R2 is connected two different areas together. On R3
and R1 we are redistributing L1 routes into the L2
process. Following is the config:

R1
router isis
net 56.7891.1ade.0002.7777.7777.7777.00
net 56.7891.1ade.0003.7777.7777.7777.00
redistribute connected level-1-2
redistribute isis ip level-1 into level-2 acl x
redistribute isis ip level-2 into level-1 acl x
use external-metrics

R2
router isis
net 56.7891.1ade.0003.3333.3333.3333.00
is-type level-2-only

R3
router isis
net 56.7891.1ade.0001.6666.6666.6666.00
net 56.7891.1ade.0003.6666.6666.6666.00
redistribute connected level-1-2
redistribute isis ip level-1 into level-2 acl x
redistribute isis ip level-2 into level-1 acl x
use external-metric

Q) I cannot get the L1 routes from routers attached to
R1/R3 redistributed into R2. Basically the
redistribution is NOT working.

Got the feeling I'm doing something stupid, but I'm
too tired to think right now. Any help appreciated.

Cheers,
Sage
