Dear all,
Noticed a slight discrepancy between the way Cisco
implements bit-matching on MAC ACLs 700-799 and the
bit-matching on icanreach MAC.
Example1#
dlsw icanreach mac-address 0010.7b3a.0765 mask
ffff.ffff.ffff
Example2#
access-list 799 permit 2200.900e.0001 0000.0000.0000
NB: It seems to me that in 1# we use FFFF as the
match-bit whereas in 2# we are using 0000 as
match-bit.
Q) Is this meant to be so?
Cheers,
Sage
