Simon,
DXI (Data eXchange Interface) was an intial way to get a
router wothout an ATM interface attached to an ATM network.
You would attach a HSSI interface to an ATM CSU/DSU and use
dxi encapsulation. Not a very common approach today. No
relationship to MPOA.
