I am very sorry, Justin. My labs were fine, just a little delay of 5
seconds to download the sim but that's was all. I could connect without any
kind of configurations on the terminals. Maybe you are right and you
communicate to Cisco your problems in the test.
Very good luck for the next try, that'll be the last.

Subject: I just took the CCNA exam 640-607 [1:9892]

I had a terrible time learning how the sims worked. On the first sim I came
accross, I needed to configure the terminal emulator first, then con into a
router, then set the hostname, and passwords. For whatever reason, I ended
up
trouble shooting the simulator for functionality. I didn't get any echo
back
on the terminal emulator. I kept hitting the return carriage, but nothing
happened. I spent ten minutes trying different settings than these:

Baug Rate: 9600
Data Bits: 8
Parity: NONE
Stop Bits: 1
Flow Control: Hardware

Ultimately these settings worked in the long run, but didn't work at first.
Furthermore, once I got the sim to echo my keyboard entries, it displayed
the
last 25 times I hit "Enter." Needless to say I was angry with the new sim
testing. It's as if you need training on working the sim, so you can be
tested on what you really know. Lame if you ask me.

Not to mention the sims text was so small, I could barely make out the
difference between a B and an 8 when reading the IPX network addresses given
in a different question. I have nearly perfect vision, and it wasn't the
testing facilities machinery. I walked away with doubt about every sim
question, not because I don't know how to change a password, or host name,
but
because I might have screwed up interfacing with the sim.

Obviously I didn't pass this time. I hope other people have some insight,
and
can share their experiences as well. I plan on complaining to Cisco.

-Justin
