Hi MarKO,
sorry about that ;-)
Looks like Mats is not online right now....
I was previously under the impression that the serial link is up and running
but just after a reload it is not working.
But looking again at what he was writing I am getting the impression that
Mats believes that he needs to reload the router to get the serial line up.
Which is obviously not the case as it should come up right after typing "no
shut" when everything is ok with the link (and the other end is up as well).
I am now pretty sure that you are right and that there is probably an
oversight in the config between these two routers.
The link you sent is very nice and obviously handy. I tend to use the search
engine much more, it usually points me to everything I want...

The TAC Homepage is always a good point to start from, there is (nearly) an
answer for everything.
Have a nice day ...
Claudia

This is a *brilliant* link. Part of Internetwork Troubleshooting
Guide, which is a must read for all people who are into troubleshooting on
daily basis (aren't we all :-) ). Here's the link to whole document:

P.S. Not Marcus ;-).
