Sat for the 640-507 exam yesterday and passed with a 924. Used the Wendell
Odom 640-507 certification book as my only study reference. I found this
book very well written and covered all topics needed to pass the exam. The
foundation summaries at the end of each chapter are excellent reviews.
What is the exam format for the 4 CCNP 2.0 exams? Is there any lab work?
IS there more of the fill in the blanks then multiple choice.
I'll probably go the CCNP route than my NT 200 upgrade.
I used suresh's & troy's ccna for study guides downloaded free from
Internet, the wording is a little strange on the exam, but nothing to
fear..very few subnet questions..
I used the following resources in addition to wendell, troytech and suresh.
1.Books:
CCNA by Cisco press (Recommended for details and
configuration examples)
CCNA by Que (bad)
CCNA by Sybex (Not covered in detail)
CCNA by ExamCram (Good as a study guide)
TroyTech ( Great study guide)
2. Practice:
CCNA class (recommended for hands-on router practice, and
study)
RouterSim 2.0 (waste of money and time)
3. Questions:
Transcender ( Not Impressed)
Boson (Good but tougher)
Suresh (Good for money)
Braindumps (waste of time, this is not Microsoft)
I'd like to thank everyone that posts in this mailing lsit. It's been very
interesting to say the least and I got some good pointers here. I passed
with
a score of 924 which is ofcourse the best. . . I did it by learning
everything,
practicing, and avoiding the easy way (braindumps). It wan't all that hard.
