I have enjoyed all of the Sybex books. Between the Sybex CCNA study guide
and a little experience I got my CCNA in 1 month. If you don't have hands
on experience, you need to supplement as much as possible with
documentation. There are also a good number of online labs which will let
you get some first-hand experience working with the routers and such. I
also like Cisco Press' books for a good foundation. In particular, I
recommend Internetworking Technologies Handbook, 3rd Edition. Good luck.
